Good morning to all my respected teachers, dad and mom and dear mates.Today we've gathered here to have a good time on this special event of freedom. We all know that Independence day is an auspicious event for every person. India’s Independence Day is the most important day to all of the Indian residents and has been referred to forever in the records. It is the day when we got freedom from the British rule after years of struggle by our freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives. We celebrate independence day every year on fifteenth of August.
India got independence on fifteenth of August in 1947 from the British rule. After independence, we were given all the fundamental rights of our Nation. We all should proud to be an Indian and feel lucky that we got birth on the land of an Independent India. In History how our ancestors and forefathers had labored hard and suffered all the brutal behavior of Britishers. We can't even imagine that how tough it was to get the independence from the British rule. It took sacrifices of lives of many freedom fighters and many years of conflict from 1857 to 1947. An Indian soldier (Mangal Pandey) within the British pressure had first raised his voice towards Britishers for the Independence of India.

Later on, so many freedom fighters had struggled and spent their whole life to get freedom. We can never forget the sacrifices of the Bhagat Singh, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, Sarojini Naidu, Rani Lakshmibai, Chandra Shekhar Azad, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Bahadur Shah Zafar, Bal Gangadhar Tilak, Tantia Tope, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, Mangal Pandey and Mahatma Gandhi.
We are lucky that our forefathers have given us a land of peace and happiness where we can sleep whole night time without any worry.We can go to school, college or University without any fear.Our country is developing very fast in the area of technology, schooling, sports activities, finance and number of other fields which were not possible without freedom. India is one of the countries which has nuclear power. We are also improving in sports like Olympics, Commonwealth Games, and Asian games. We have full rights to chose our government because India is a democratic country. Although we are free yet we should not forget our responsibilities towards our country.Being a responsible citizen, we should always ready for any kind of sacrifice for our country.
